  1. The summative assessments page should have a way to download to Excel. Currently - to be able to export any information about children you either need to do it one child at a time throught he single pupil overview (although often the PDF function doesnt work properly and shows 'data loading' on the download), or you have to manually type information from the SONAR tracker web page into another document. This feels like a waste of time and resources.

Downloading to excel or integrating with Google docs is important to stop teachers and leaders wasting their time.

  2. When looking through assessments, indicate that there are observations logged against that objective.
Similar to how you hover over the clock to show previous assessments perhaps?
When checking for completeness of evidence for a section of learning, the ability to see this and quickly upload a new observation from this page would be a fantastic time saver.

  3. Add the groups CIN (Children In Need) and LAC (Looked after) to the Primary Age Related Overview tables and the Primary Summative Analysis tables, so data analysis mirrors the new OFSTED framework & IDSR.

  4. EYFS Age Related Overview Report - Ability to see % on track for all aspects in each Area
    Currently by choosing all aspects in Communications Language;
Listening, Attention and Understanding along with Speaking and selecting combined, we can see the % of pupils on track in all aspects within the Area.
As EYFS leads often wish to report the % on track in each Area it would be great if this report (or one similar to the GLD report - with all aspects in) showed this either as an extra row / column or had the option to view.

  6. Currently this just says 'Group' so teachers have to add this to the report, remembering what group was filtered for. Would be more useful if names of group was referenced.

  7. Schools would like to be able to re-order their Formative Subjects to improve usability and consistency for staff. A content Editor like the one OTrack had would be ideal to allow schools to manage their own Formative content.

  8. When I run the subject overview report, it would be better if next to their names it showed if they are SEND.

  9. We have some children working on the Sandwell skills ladders, which come before the National Curriculum objectives. Previously, these were displayed as P Levels and helped track the children's progress. At the moment, there is just the Engagement model, which could be broken down further to be like the skills ladders EM Building concepts, EM Level 1, EM Level 2 and EM Level 3.
I would really appreciate it if we could have these options please, because oherwise we would have no way to record this. Thankyou so much!!

  10. This is a feature request for users with swap school access to be able to select their default school eg. if they have access to an Infant and a Junior school their default login could be for the Junior. It could work like the preference settings of year group and class that they can do on an individual school.

Schools can now filter by ethnicity on the following new reports in Sonar:

    • EYFS/Primary Characteristic Attainment Overview
    • EYFS Good Level of Development Tracking
    • Primary Pupil Progress Meeting
    • Primary Flight Path
    • Primary Triangulation of Data Analysis

Going forward, all original reports in Sonar will eventually be replaced with this new filter format to include ethnicity.

  13. This was the main report that I used - it is no longer available so I am considering looking for an alternative tracking system.

  14. SONAR Age band expectations are currently:
    Pre Entry 0-11 months
    Entry 1 8-20 months
    Entry 2 16-26 months
    Nurs 1 22-36 months
    Nurs 2 30-50 months

Early Years Leads within our schools think they should be:
    Pre Entry 8-20 months
    Entry 1 16-26 months
    Entry 2 22-36 months
    Nurs 1 30-50 months
    Nurs 2 40-60 months
    Reception ELG

Would welcome any feedback or others opinions. Thanks

  15. Had schools where new children have joined them. They have no UPN. They do not need to report data but because no UPN file not created. Can we look at how to mitigate against this situation? Eg manually update children? Remove children from CTF? Make CTF without children with no UPN?

  16. Since the recent update of Sonar, the Switch Schools function is less easy to use. Although users can click on their profile and scroll through the list of schools that they have access to, this is not easy and there is no way to search as there used to be. For large MATs this is a problem - could we have it back please?

  17. School's would like to track the inputting of data for formative assessment on a Monthly rather than Termly basis. It is interesting for SLT to be able to track when children are achieving objectives and sometimes this can change multiple times over a half term.

  18. As a growing school, we are still taking admissions; as a result, for Term 3 we had over 30 students join us, and adding them manually is not practical.
Therefore, we request to have import data option

  19. Option to remove Sig Below and Sig Above from Reports. Some schools do not want to include these children / keep them on a separate report.

This would also be useful in the Summative Progress Analysis - would give a more accurate measure, as those out of year who haven't made progress (eg. Yr4, moving from 3at to 2at) wouldn't be included as Expected Progress, being still sig below

  20. As a numerical measures test scores should be able to be sorted in numerical order - currently the only options are by pupil name/year group, not helpful for any form of analysis/overall picture.
