  2. At the moment, we are tracking book bands by putting them in as test scores in Reading. Is it possible that a specific book band tracker is put in. We only update them half-termly overall.

  3. Schools are able to have their own formative curriculum added to Primary or EYFS in a wide range of subjects. This flexibility allows (eg) a separate SEN curriculum to be added.
    In Primary, these subjects can be given a Summative judgement too but this isn't possible in EYFS as subjects can only be the 7 or 17 subjects in Development Matters. As the vast majority of reports are based on Summative judgements, this is unhelpful for EYFS.

  5. At the moment you can tag areas of the EYFS curriculum but it would be really helpful if you could also tag what COEL the children are developing in their observation too.

  7. Teachers need to be able to see previous data to be able to set new targets. This is not viewable on the target input screen. This is vital.

  8. Can we relabel 'Primary Formative' and 'Primary Summative' in recognition of the non-primary settings we have in Sonar? A number of schools have mentioned this to me, eg Marland Residential School, who are using KS3 in Sonar and the staff are finding it confusing.

  9. In OTrack when selecting the School Icon users can then drill down to see names in each of the Contextual Groups in the Pupils Box ie Pupil Premium. Users would like this facility in Sonar.

  10. The new analysis tab is great. When you hit print screen it actually prints really well, however for a Trust who may want to print the screen for each school there is no name or log on it so have to physically write on. I know this only a small cosmetic thing but would be really useful.

  11. The academic year rollover is currently completed at the end of August, however some schools (particularly international) return earlier in August. Meaning their academic year starts before the rollover has happened. Would it be possible to complete future rollovers earlier in August.

  13. The Venn diagram report is dreadful. It is over too many pages, the names over lap and it doesnt print well. the previous report on O'Track was excellent. i dont understand why you have changed a report that was so good. Tracking those pupil who are at in all subjects is critical. I'm so disappointed in the whole Sonar system, but this report id just dreadful!

  15. It would be useful to be able to have an overall figure for the number of children making expected progress or accelerated progress - as a cumulative function.
    Currently, the Summative Progress Analysis provides the figures but these need to be added up to calculate cumulative.
    The Conversion Matrix has cumulative but only for each starting point, it doesn't show in the KPIs, so again needs manually adding up.

  16. TT allowed users to display highlighted objectives ordered by the relevant TAF standard, rather than the year group/band. This allowed teachers to spot gaps and enter judgements. This would be useful for KS1, KS2 and for EYFS ELG assessment.

  17. Is there was a way to add the = or - numbers that you see on the target analysis report to the summative progress analysis report?

    This would at least show a numerical indicator of progress which would help steps/linear schools?

    So a child working below ARE for Year 4 - they would have +2 as gone from 3JA to 3Above. Better than just saying 'expected progress' when in fact she has improved.

    I guess one big issue would be the code model the school has (number of codes within ARE)

  18. SONAR Age band expectations are currently:
    Pre Entry 0-11 months
    Entry 1 8-20 months
    Entry 2 16-26 months
    Nurs 1 22-36 months
    Nurs 2 30-50 months

    Early Years Leads within our schools think they should be:
    Pre Entry 8-20 months
    Entry 1 16-26 months
    Entry 2 22-36 months
    Nurs 1 30-50 months
    Nurs 2 40-60 months
    Reception ELG

  19. Schools like to be able to quantify how much progress pupils are making not just expected, above and below. This includes the ability to show an overall average for group of children. Target Tracker schools are used to being able to do this so find the current progress reports in Sonar are not sufficiently detailed.

  20. I suggest a really useful addition to Early Years observations would be to be able to link age related expectations suggested by the development matters framework, as this will inform assessment, and will then be able to be exported as evidence.
