  1. It would be very useful to be able to produce year-on-year trend reports as you can in Analytics.

Our CEO is currently manually generating year on year reports.

  3. Schools have mentioned that when charts are downloaded the scale does not remain consistent to the original chart. Additional work is then required to re-scale back to look like the original. Can this be resolved / scaling fixed or locked to the original within Insights to maximise use in trustee reports etc?

  4. Adding the absolute number of grades/students to the hover over in bar charts would allow senior leaders to check for statistical significance within the charts rather than rely on the data tables to put into perspective. Particularly useful when comparing schools and using the Disadvantaged / SEN students filters etc.

  6. An option to compare MAT Datasets

Currently the only way to compare datasets (e.g. KS4 Y11 Leavers exam dataset say against Current Y11 Predicted 2 dataset) is either:

    a) flicking back and forth between the data sets,
    b) take a screen grab of one of the datasets
    c) Open two browsers sessions and view on same screen

  7. On the KS4 Basic menu there is no Basic 9 to 7 option, but this is in the headline figures in SISRA, please could this be included in the dashboard, similar to how the 9-5 and 9-4 appear.

  9. Colour coding SPI in KS4 and VA in KS5 would provide greater clarity in reports, particularly if combined with a sort option which has already been proposed.

  12. MAT reports default to the 22/23 Leavers cohort. In summer term it is more relevant that current Y11 is set to the default cohort, but no ability for MATs to amend this. The ability to set a default cohort in the way you can set a default report would be advantageous.

  13. When looking at separate science outcomes, the SPI figure is calculated by comparison with all schools in that dataset. This means a non-selecting comprehensive school (where often only the more able will sit separate science) is compared against selective schools where all pupils sit separate science.
This has a number of affects:
It affects combined science outcomes as many higher ability pupils will not be included in the data as they sat Separate science.
It affects the separate science outcomes as pupils are compared against a selective intake with a very different educational experience.
It would be useful if we…

  15. An at a glance "How many schools are reporting" on the applied dataset.

Without looking at the school overview and counting the number of schools included, users wont realise that potentially NOT all schools are included in the measures; as most users will not have data management permissions to see.
A good place to show this would be next the the "No filters applied" section as that is viewable on all levels. The data could be picked up from the Data Management sections for reports that are enabled to view.

  17. SPI does provide valuable comparative data but there will be varying factors that will have an influence on the SPI data depending on the membership of class/groups in each school i.e. in Science, if a school doesn't offer Separate Science, their whole cohort may well feature in Combined Science. There will more likely than not be students with higher prior attainment competing for the Combined Science grades than there would be if there was a Separate Science option too. Equally, in a non-selective state school, the students are competing for the same grades as those in a selective school. Prior…
