Please consider extending the available Year Groups on the Summative and Formative Data Entry screens and reports for use by All-Through and Special schools allowing them to use the system for all their year groups. This would be from Reception to Y14.

Termly Phonics Phase Tracking
Phonics Phase Tracking is available in OTrack (Under Teacher Assessments) where schools track using programmes such as Read Write Inc or Letters and Sounds (or bespoke) This is a popular feature which would be an asset to Sonar. There are also Phonics Termly Targets available under Targets section to run alongside. Test Scores cannot be used for this purpose as they stages within Phonics Phase are usually a number followed by a letter eg. 2A, 2B, 2C et...

copying targets to next term
Customers have suggested it would be helpful to be able to copy targets from one term to the next.
If these are entered into the wrong term, currently a school has to manually do them all over again.3 votes -

Contextual information on when a child has joined the school
It would be very helpful to have the date the children started the school added to contextual information,. We have high levels of mobility and so it would be very useful to filter and see which children, in a class or year group, joined. We used to use this on Target Tracker all the time.

Salford Reading Age Data entry
Change the format of data entry for Salford Reading Age so that the age in months is inputted the same way as age in years. To input the months you simply select the required number, but to select the year you choose from a scrolling choice of numbers. This scrolls past where you need it to then you need to click manually through each individual number to get back to where you need to be. It is overly time consuming and frustrating.

Assessment complete
The effective assessment function is great for saving workload but does not give school leaders an indication that a teachers' assessment has been completed.
A option to confirm all judgements are finalised for the term (similar perhaps to the TT PITA function) or even just a tick box to say it is done could be a really useful tool to save leaders time checking with staff.4 votes -
Order Summative Assessment by attainment
When entering summative assessment data, currently you can only order by names or yeargroups.
It is incredibly useful to order the children by their attainment (a bit like ordering the class based on their steps in the old TT).
This is particularly useful for a class/year group with a high level of attainment variance, especially for a subject like writing when we might be moderating and assessing across a year group.
It allows you to look at children of a similar level of attainement together as you are assessing far more easily, and this is particularly powerful when we are…
