  1. It would be very helpful to have the date the children started the school added to contextual information,. We have high levels of mobility and so it would be very useful to filter and see which children, in a class or year group, joined. We used to use this on Target Tracker all the time.

  2. When entering summative assessment data, currently you can only order by names or yeargroups.

It is incredibly useful to order the children by their attainment (a bit like ordering the class based on their steps in the old TT).

This is particularly useful for a class/year group with a high level of attainment variance, especially for a subject like writing when we might be moderating and assessing across a year group.

It allows you to look at children of a similar level of attainement together as you are assessing far more easily, and this is particularly powerful when we are…

  3. It would be good to see what a child's attainment is when they are significantly below. At the moment all children working below year group and in the same column and it is not possible to see how significantly below the individual children are.

  4. It would be helpful to have report PDFs in portrait and not just landscape. This could make the length of reports shorter and easier to read.

  5. The above report has been pulling incorrect info through since December. Schools will be using this report based on incorrect data. We are a Trust with 5 schools, getting numerous queries and complaints. We also spent time running reports (90 in total)) for all our schools as we were not informed incorrect data. This should be communicated to all schools who may be basing pupil progress meetings on incorrect reports.

  7. Customers have suggested it would be helpful to be able to copy targets from one term to the next.
If these are entered into the wrong term, currently a school has to manually do them all over again.

  8. Would be great if the subject overview would show end of previous year (Summer) in the % summary at the bottom. It shows term on term which is really useful but this time of year you need to see summer comparison. It lets you display summer at pupil level but does not show summer % at bottom.

  9. It would be useful to run an EYFS formative report that just shows 4-5 data and not 4-5 plus ELG data. For example, when I look at PSED data, it shows me it for 22 objectives which would be 4-5 plus ELG whereas I just want to look at the 13 PSED objectives in 4-5 range.

  11. It would be helpful to have average attendance for children of statutory school age and have the option to take Nursery out of the figures as many are part time and this impacts on the overall figure.

  12. On Target Tracker, you could generate a 'class context' sheet which held the information for each pupil in columns: forename, surname, DoB, date of entry, gender, EAL status, FSM status, SEN status...

It would be brilliant to be able to generate this same sheet from within Sonar, and to export it as a PDF, Word or Excel file.

  13. It would be really helpful to have a report that would show overall summative data (%ARE+) for each year group all on 1 page (one for each subject).

    The columns would be:
end of phase (FS or KS1), previous summer, aut, spr sum, target

    The rows would be:
    Y1, Y2, Y3, Y4, Y5, Y6

Even better if this could be further subdivided into classe:
    Class A Y1, Class AY2, Class B Y1, Class B Y2 etc..

  14. Include SEN as a contextual tag nest to children's names as PP, EAL and FSM already are.

  16. A way to share with Governors R/W/M attainment of all year groups, for boys. girls, PP, SEN etc in a concise report.

Currently this means creating the ARO Report for a year group with the summary and export to pdf = 3 pages. Filter for another year group and export = 3 pages. This results in an 18 page report with EYFS still to do. It would also be helpful if we could choose which groups to include in the summary and be able to separate year groups once viewing the summary version of the report. Being able to create…

  17. Single Pupil Overview should show all subjects, not just 3 of these. With 3 subjects that isn't even the core subjects (Science is still a core subject).

It would also be great if it showed some formative statements/objectives that the child has achieved and some they are working towards.

Lastly, being able to print a class worth of these at a time, not 1 child's report only. - Workload!

  18. Schools often need to exclude specific groups of pupils - for example Nursery Pupils - when analysing attendance. It would be helpful if the Pupil Overview Report could be filtered for just R-Y6. This would allow the Gender, Disadvantaged and SEN comparisons to be used excluding Nursery (or any other any other group schools may want to focus on).

  20. At the moment, we are tracking book bands by putting them in as test scores in Reading. Is it possible that a specific book band tracker is put in. We only update them half-termly overall.
