Toggle between ‘point in time’ and linear models
As a school or trust data lead, I want to be able to switch a cohort/report between a “point in time” assessment model and a linear/progress model, so that I can analyse either static judgements at each data drop or how pupils move over time along a defined trajectory.

Multi‑school (trust) analytics robustness
As a trust leader, I want a multi‑school analytics view that reliably shows key metrics by school, year group, gender and disadvantage, so that I can compare performance and identify support needs across the group.
Charts/tables show aggregated outcomes (attainment, progress, key characteristics) by school and common cohorts.
Same filters as school‑level view where appropriate.
As a trust‑level user, I want to export multi‑school summaries to CSV, so that I can blend them with other trust data sources (perhaps add this last point to export idea).

Pastoral / attitudinal data support - Whole‑child data model
As a group education lead, I want a way to bring selected pastoral or attitudinal indicators alongside academic and test data, so that I can analyse outcomes in the context of behaviour and wellbeing.
Data model extended user-defined “pastoral indicators” per pupil (e.g. behaviour points, attitude to learning band, wellbeing flags), sourced via manual entry, import or integration.
Pastoral fields available as filters and breakdown dimensions in core analysis reports (e.g. see attainment/progress by attitude to learning band), similar to sisra.

Global‑compatible MIS data sync
I want to investigate MIS integration options that work in regions where our current sync provider (e.g. Wonde) is unavailable, so that international schools can still benefit from automated pupil and attendance updates.
Technical discovery completed on at least one alternative approach (e.g. direct MIS API, SFTP file drops, alternative integration partner).
Consider constraints for China‑based schools documented (latency, firewalls, data residency).
Recommendation document produced with options, pros/cons, and high‑level effort estimates.

As a trust‑level analyst, I want to schedule or easily repeat the same CSV export configuration, so that I can refresh my external dashboard
Last‑used export settings are remembered per user or can be saved as an “export preset”.
Presets can be quickly re‑run after each new data drop.

Formative and Summative data visualised on the same page.
Formative assessments to inform the summative.
Could there be a way the formative assessments are visualised when adding the summative? This ensures the teacher is able to make an informed decision based on the formative data added in. For example if Child A is Just at for most of the formative assessments, seeing it when inputting the summative takes away the guess work or having to flick backwards and forwards. This could be sorted into the core subjects as well so the teacher can look at the specific data they need to make their informed decision. Data can be viewed…1 vote -
EYFS Good Level of Development Tracking
The report includes those that are WT (yellows) as at ARE. This is extremely confusing for schools viewing the report. I understand that fits with the rest of the system and reports (we also have issues throughout the system with this) but some areas you can toggle to see further breakdown or not include them. I find this report misleading.

I would love to be able to print off the formative assessment for 1 child.
I would love to be able to print off the formative assessment for 1 child. The statements are really helpful when children move between schools or at parent meetings when I need to share explicitly with parents.

Filter objective list by year
When you are adding an objective it currently shows the list of objectives to tag from Pre Entry onwards. Would be so much quicker to either filter by pupil's year group or have manual filter for year, so you don't have to scroll right down to find the Reception ones.

Add a Custom Group to the existing groups in a Report
Schools would like to be able to run a report such as the Primary Characteristic Attainment Overview and be able to add their own bespoke Groups to the report to view them alongside the existing groups. For example if school made a 'Home Grown' Group they would like to view it alongside Boys, Girls, DIS, SEN etc..Please note this is NOT the same as filtering for the bespoke group.

Subject Overview Report over previous years
The current Subject Overview Report lets you see 'previous summer' and any reporting periods in the current years but doesn't allow you to compare e.g. Autumn to Autumn over multiple years - this is pretty essential for test progress tracking of individuals

In the summative assessments there should be a way to download the assessments to an excel or Google sheets so that teachers can print out.
The summative assessments page should have a way to download to Excel. Currently - to be able to export any information about children you either need to do it one child at a time throught he single pupil overview (although often the PDF function doesnt work properly and shows 'data loading' on the download), or you have to manually type information from the SONAR tracker web page into another document. This feels like a waste of time and resources.
Downloading to excel or integrating with Google docs is important to stop teachers and leaders wasting their time.

When choosing to print a subject's observations, it would be helpful if it showed the pupil's name tagged to each observation.
1 voteDisplaying the pupil name next to observations within a subject export has been noted for future improvements to the Observations module.

PDF access to the objectives so we can have trackers for staff to use on paper in class when the use of a laptop isn't practical
Sometimes, having SONAR open isn't practical in class. Our staff would like a PDF version of the objectives so that they can see them on paper and add notes to aid their observations and thoughts - this will allow them to use the statements more practically and make things speedier moving forwards.

Thanks,
Stacey

Be able to view Statutory reports for cohort as they were at the time.
Eg Schools often want to see what ELG data was for a cohort once they are in a higher year group. Currently this involves having to manually make a group that includes leavers (but only those who were here at the time) and excludes pupils who have joined since (even though some of these may have results that have been imported since).
The Statutory Dashboard will include pupils with data so works for leavers but not necessarily joiners and does not tell us who is included or the % who achieved Expected for each Aspect, the Outcomes report does this…4 votes -
Filter tagged objectives
I would like the option to filter by tagged objectives and be able to look exclusively at the Early Learning Goals. It is a right rigamarole in having to look up every observation to see if an early learning goal has been met, by who, when ect and then have to try and keep track of this.

Clicking pupil names in reports should open in a new tab as it isnt possible to go back to the report current;ly.
Currently clicking pupil names in a report goes to a report for that child, which is great. However it isnt possible to go back to the report you were on previously.
This means that currently you have to restart the report every time you click a child's name.
If clicking the child name opened up a personal report for them in a new tab, this would save a lot of time and effort.
