  1. Ability to set a custom group as a preference in Sonar.

    It's quite common that SLT staff who don't have a class of their own in school will be responsible for teaching one group each day e.g. a Y6 Maths group

    It would be helpful if they could choose to set a group as a preference in Sonar, not just a year group or class.

  3. It is often necessary to report (eg to governors) the numbers of children who are At ARE. Schools like to keep this simple, and in TT could merge the 'risk' and 'at' columns to do help with this.
    This is already available in Sonar Multi School and would be very useful in Sonar.

  4. The Statutory Data box on the Single Pupil Overview report shows a pupil's phonics score in a green box if they passed. This is the same even if the pupil did the retake in Y2 which can be a little misleading to the overall picture for that pupil. Please could something be altered here (e.g. a different colour, a little number 2 added) so that schools know whether the score they are seeing is from Y1 or Y2.

  5. As this is a point in time tracker, it would be good if judgements carried over to the beginning of the year from the end of the previous year. An expected child remains expected so the code could carry over. I now have all year groups below expectations and teachers would have to re-enter data. This work load could be reduced by bringing grades over as a baseline.

  6. The new analysis tab is great. When you hit print screen it actually prints really well, however for a Trust who may want to print the screen for each school there is no name or log on it so have to physically write on. I know this only a small cosmetic thing but would be really useful.

  7. End of Key Stage reports allow schools to see overall numbers and percentages, pupils' names and to view in Summary mode. There is no equivalent report for Phonics or MTC which schools need.
    Although the Analysis tab gives headline data, no detail such as pupils names or context can be seen.

  8. For schools that set end of year targets above pupils' current summative judgement, it would be useful to have a report showing this.
    For example 83% of Year 2 are targeted to achieve ARE by the end of Summer 2 as opposed to just seeing individual targets? This was something that Target Tracker did previously and is helpful in ensuring that targets set on Sonar align with targets identified in school improvement plans.

  9. The academic year rollover is currently completed at the end of August, however some schools (particularly international) return earlier in August. Meaning their academic year starts before the rollover has happened. Would it be possible to complete future rollovers earlier in August.

  10. Display Options should include 'names' so that all pupil names can be added to the report for downloading/printing. At the moment, it's only possible to see pupil names by clicking on each individual cell

  13. Schools can set multiple different thresholds for their test scores, so it can correlate more closely with their summative model. For example, if their summative model has 4 or 5 levels it would be good that the test scores and associated report in ARO also splits the test score data into 4 or 5 respectively. At the moment the test scores is just Below, At or Above. e.g. in a test with range 80-120, schools might state that 80-90 is below, 90-103 is just at, 103-109 securely at and 110+ is above.

  14. The effective assessment function is great for saving workload but does not give school leaders an indication that a teachers' assessment has been completed.
    A option to confirm all judgements are finalised for the term (similar perhaps to the TT PITA function) or even just a tick box to say it is done could be a really useful tool to save leaders time checking with staff.

  15. Ability to multi-select year groups on the pupil summary box in 'School' tab. For example, schools want to see contextual statistics and attendance % for two year groups at once where they have mixed classes or perhaps a whole Key Stage.

  16. Options to 1) select R, W, M together 2) separate year groups - as you can in OTrack's 'In Year Attainment Overview'.

    Feedback from school migration meeting - 'why is there no display options button on the Subject Overview? I like to choose the Core subjects and then split into six year groups - this is all in one report -'In Year Attainment'- in OTrack. To do this is Sonar, I would currently have to generate 18 reports! This essential for a small school like ours. The Age Related Overview does not show the 'flight path' of the last 7…

  17. Even though KS1 SATs are no longer mandatory many schools are choosing to enter the data into Sonar and then asking for the facility to export them out to their management systems. A CTF export would be useful.

  18. Please consider extending the available Year Groups on the Summative and Formative Data Entry screens and reports for use by All-Through and Special schools allowing them to use the system for all their year groups. This would be from Reception to Y14.

  19. The 'No Special Educational Need' filter doesn't bring up all children who are not SEN support or have an EHCP. It seems that your MIS has to have an 'N' indicator if they do not have SEN but our MIS is just blank for anyone not identified as SEN.
