KPI / statement‑group filter within formative curriculum
I want teachers and leaders to be able to toggle a formative view so that only KPI “statement groups” (a defined subset of curriculum objectives) are shown,
so that teachers can assess the full curriculum while leaders can quickly see performance and coverage against just the agreed KPIs without rebuilding views each time.Admins can define one or more KPI/statement groups per subject (e.g. “Reading KPIs”) by selecting from the existing curriculum objectives, without needing Juniper to hard‑code them.
In the formative grid, users can apply a simple filter/toggle (e.g. “Show: All objectives / KPI only”) that instantly hides non‑KPI…

Toggle between ‘point in time’ and linear models
As a school or trust data lead, I want to be able to switch a cohort/report between a “point in time” assessment model and a linear/progress model, so that I can analyse either static judgements at each data drop or how pupils move over time along a defined trajectory.

Pastoral / attitudinal data support - Whole‑child data model
As a group education lead, I want a way to bring selected pastoral or attitudinal indicators alongside academic and test data, so that I can analyse outcomes in the context of behaviour and wellbeing.
Data model extended user-defined “pastoral indicators” per pupil (e.g. behaviour points, attitude to learning band, wellbeing flags), sourced via manual entry, import or integration.
Pastoral fields available as filters and breakdown dimensions in core analysis reports (e.g. see attainment/progress by attitude to learning band), similar to sisra.

Global‑compatible MIS data sync
I want to investigate MIS integration options that work in regions where our current sync provider (e.g. Wonde) is unavailable, so that international schools can still benefit from automated pupil and attendance updates.
Technical discovery completed on at least one alternative approach (e.g. direct MIS API, SFTP file drops, alternative integration partner).
Consider constraints for China‑based schools documented (latency, firewalls, data residency).
Recommendation document produced with options, pros/cons, and high‑level effort estimates.

Summary view in GLD tracking report
A school have asked for the ability to see contextual data within this report. They need to be able to compare PP with Non PP etc As well as other contextual groups.

attendance
It would be useful to see a child's attendance record for their time in primary school as it was in Target Tracker. That is, each child in their year/class group with a percentage figure for each year. We could then filter below 90%.
It would also be useful to be able to filter attendance by ethnicity and other groups. In Sonar, you can't see the names of who is in the SEN/EAL/disadvantaged group.1 vote -
Ability to print assessment and test score sheets
It would be extremely helpful to be able to print the assessment and test score data. as PDFs or to download them into Excels so the data can be edited and shared more easily.

Switch Schools function
Since the recent update of Sonar, the Switch Schools function is less easy to use. Although users can click on their profile and scroll through the list of schools that they have access to, this is not easy and there is no way to search as there used to be. For large MATs this is a problem - could we have it back please?

Pupil Assessment History View
We're a school moving from INSIGHT. One of the things that we find invaluable on INSIGHT is the assessment view of a child, where you can see all the summative assessments of subjects as well as test scores and the % secured to date of formative objectives for each year on one page. It would be great to get this in SONAR as it is a great, easy to glance at history of assessment of pupils throughout the year.

allow copying of matching page at each Key stage
Alloow the qualification matching page to be cloned, as the majority are the same course and qualification. This is editable so it would make the set up for a year group so much easier. Currently doing the year 12 and the courses are almost (bar 2 out of 30) the same.

Schools would like to see a printable version of the EYFS statements from the formative screen.

Lefthand menu to collapse to the side
Lefthand menu to be able to collapse to the side or when zoom in page to shrink to just the icons as before. This will give users more space on the main screen to do assessments and reports, especially when looking at the analysis tab the working space becomes quite narrow and you have to scroll across a fair bit to see the columns. Thanks

Drop down lists in Sonar
When selecting the subjects for the EYFS Age Related overview, it has a default setting of 3 subjects - to add additional subjects, you cannot click multiple ones when the drop down list is open - the list closes after each subject is selected.
In the Primary Age Related overview, when using the filters to add classes, again the drop down list closes after each selection.1 vote -
Interim Report Template
Current templates have too much information for an interim report. An adaptable template which includes; an overview of attendance, attainment, progress and does not have teacher comments would be great and save a lot of time.
We would also like to be able to name the document and add our school logo. This would have a huge impact on teacher workload.2 votes -

School Feedback - ownership over reports
I would like the reports feature to be easier to use and easier to adapt and create our own reports. I have used insight previously which was so easy to create my own tables, charts and reports for any groups etc. I would love this feature to be easier to use on Sonar. I also would like to click on a pupil can see their most recent data as well as all the contextual information - I know you can do a single pupil report but in the pupils area it would be great if when you filtered it you…

Relabelling 'Primary'
Can we relabel 'Primary Formative' and 'Primary Summative' in recognition of the non-primary settings we have in Sonar? A number of schools have mentioned this to me, eg Marland Residential School, who are using KS3 in Sonar and the staff are finding it confusing.
