When choosing to print a subject's observations, it would be helpful if it showed the pupil's name tagged to each observation.
1 voteDisplaying the pupil name next to observations within a subject export has been noted for future improvements to the Observations module.

PDF access to the objectives so we can have trackers for staff to use on paper in class when the use of a laptop isn't practical
Sometimes, having SONAR open isn't practical in class. Our staff would like a PDF version of the objectives so that they can see them on paper and add notes to aid their observations and thoughts - this will allow them to use the statements more practically and make things speedier moving forwards.
1 voteThank you for taking the time to feedback. We are in the planning stage for a printable version of the objectives input screen as a report.
Thanks,
Stacey

Filter tagged objectives
I would like the option to filter by tagged objectives and be able to look exclusively at the Early Learning Goals. It is a right rigamarole in having to look up every observation to see if an early learning goal has been met, by who, when ect and then have to try and keep track of this.

Clicking pupil names in reports should open in a new tab as it isnt possible to go back to the report current;ly.
Currently clicking pupil names in a report goes to a report for that child, which is great. However it isnt possible to go back to the report you were on previously.
This means that currently you have to restart the report every time you click a child's name.
If clicking the child name opened up a personal report for them in a new tab, this would save a lot of time and effort.

Venn Report - show assessments of pupils 'outside of diagram'
Currently pupils who are 'outside of the diagram' ie below the judgement chosen in all three subjects currently show as blank. If at least one of the subjects is at or above the judgement chosen, all assessments show, even if below year group. It would be really helpful if assessments showed for all children as without this for consistency. Their data has to be found somewhere else and there is not currently a suitable R/W/M printable view of this.
1 voteA new version of the Venn report which incorporates this feedback is currently under review and in planning.

Be able to have cells colour coded like summative and then be able to sort test scores in ascending order
It would be useful for the data entry screen in the test scores area to be colour coded according the school ARE settings. This would give a clear snapshot of pupil data.

attendance
It would be useful to see a child's attendance record for their time in primary school as it was in Target Tracker. That is, each child in their year/class group with a percentage figure for each year. We could then filter below 90%.
It would also be useful to be able to filter attendance by ethnicity and other groups. In Sonar, you can't see the names of who is in the SEN/EAL/disadvantaged group.1 vote -
Order of Student Names in Progress Report
In the 'Primary Formative Progress Analysis' Report, the order of names is by first name. However, the rest of the time (e.g. in the Summative) they are by surname. This means it is tricky when going from one to the other. Please could the be in the same order, or that there is the option to change the setting for this?

Bulk fill end of year targets based on previous years' assessments
It would save a huge amount of time if targets for the end of Summer 2 could be automatically bulk filled based on the children's end of previous summer 2 assessments, making an assumption of expected progress. This would mean only tweaking those few children who are expected to make slower or accelerated progress, rather than having to enter each one manually.

Curriculum Planner
In Target Tracker there was a curriculum planner report so that subject leaders could easily see what the objectives are in each band for their subject. This helps to check coverage of the curriculum in the school. Sonar Tracker does not have this feature which makes it difficult for subject leaders to have a clear document detailing the band statements.

Venn Diagram as it used to be
The Venn diagram report is dreadful. It is over too many pages, the names over lap and it doesnt print well. the previous report on O'Track was excellent. i dont understand why you have changed a report that was so good. Tracking those pupil who are at in all subjects is critical. I'm so disappointed in the whole Sonar system, but this report id just dreadful!

Cumulative progress to show total making expected or accelerated progress
It would be useful to be able to have an overall figure for the number of children making expected progress or accelerated progress - as a cumulative function.
Currently, the Summative Progress Analysis provides the figures but these need to be added up to calculate cumulative.
The Conversion Matrix has cumulative but only for each starting point, it doesn't show in the KPIs, so again needs manually adding up.1 vote -
Numerical indicator of progress on Summative Progress Analysis Report (like Target Analysis)
Is there was a way to add the = or - numbers that you see on the target analysis report to the summative progress analysis report?
This would at least show a numerical indicator of progress which would help steps/linear schools?
So a child working below ARE for Year 4 - they would have +2 as gone from 3JA to 3Above. Better than just saying 'expected progress' when in fact she has improved.
I guess one big issue would be the code model the school has (number of codes within ARE)

Steps Progress
Schools like to be able to quantify how much progress pupils are making not just expected, above and below. This includes the ability to show an overall average for group of children. Target Tracker schools are used to being able to do this so find the current progress reports in Sonar are not sufficiently detailed.

Development Matters - Age Related Expectations
It would be good to have this as an option during the data entry process for a nursery cohort, it will help to inform judgements in a more straightforward way than the pre-existing options in my opinion. It would also be really good to have this option as a link in observations, so when exported it can be evidenced children are working securely within an age range.
