Contextual information on when a child has joined the school
It would be very helpful to have the date the children started the school added to contextual information,. We have high levels of mobility and so it would be very useful to filter and see which children, in a class or year group, joined. We used to use this on Target Tracker all the time.

A Context Overview for Classes
On Target Tracker, you could generate a 'class context' sheet which held the information for each pupil in columns: forename, surname, DoB, date of entry, gender, EAL status, FSM status, SEN status...
It would be brilliant to be able to generate this same sheet from within Sonar, and to export it as a PDF, Word or Excel file.

Steps Progress
Schools like to be able to quantify how much progress pupils are making not just expected, above and below. This includes the ability to show an overall average for group of children. Target Tracker schools are used to being able to do this so find the current progress reports in Sonar are not sufficiently detailed.

Option for report PDFs in portrait instead of landscape
It would be helpful to have report PDFs in portrait and not just landscape. This could make the length of reports shorter and easier to read.

Select bespoke Assessment Terms
Schools would like to be able to select the Terms they wish to assess and only see those in the summative Assessment/Scores and in reports Eg. Autumn End, Spring End, Summer End

ARE only Filter - option to remove Sig Below/Sig Above
Option to remove Sig Below and Sig Above from Reports. Some schools do not want to include these children / keep them on a separate report.
This would also be useful in the Summative Progress Analysis - would give a more accurate measure, as those out of year who haven't made progress (eg. Yr4, moving from 3at to 2at) wouldn't be included as Expected Progress, being still sig below

Test Score ARE settings
Schools can set multiple different thresholds for their test scores, so it can correlate more closely with their summative model. For example, if their summative model has 4 or 5 levels it would be good that the test scores and associated report in ARO also splits the test score data into 4 or 5 respectively. At the moment the test scores is just Below, At or Above. e.g. in a test with range 80-120, schools might state that 80-90 is below, 90-103 is just at, 103-109 securely at and 110+ is above.

Report percentages of set targets
Dissapointed to see that there was no way to see the parcentage of children target at the end of summer for different attainment levels. For instance, as we now set targets at the start of the year, I really could do with seeing what percentage of children have been targetted for B,JA,A etc at different cohort levels such as class, year group, key stage etc.

Development Matters - Age Related Expectations for EYFS Observations
I suggest a really useful addition to Early Years observations would be to be able to link age related expectations suggested by the development matters framework, as this will inform assessment, and will then be able to be exported as evidence.

Development Matters - Age Related Expectations
It would be good to have this as an option during the data entry process for a nursery cohort, it will help to inform judgements in a more straightforward way than the pre-existing options in my opinion. It would also be really good to have this option as a link in observations, so when exported it can be evidenced children are working securely within an age range.

Subject overview report to show
Would be great if the subject overview would show end of previous year (Summer) in the % summary at the bottom. It shows term on term which is really useful but this time of year you need to see summer comparison. It lets you display summer at pupil level but does not show summer % at bottom.

Highlight pupil names in reports
The ability to highlight pupils' names to identify them as (for example) PP, EAL, SEN etc.
This provides a quick and clear way to show how these key groups are distributed across attainment and progress tables. It is particularly effective when used without names for governors' reports.
We have this function in Target Tracker where names can be in bold, underlined or in italics.14 votes -
New GLD Tracking Report
This is a fantastic report. However it includes those children that are JUST AT - the yellows and includes them in GLD %. Surely it would be more realistic to just include the securely 'Expected'?

All of the drop down menus stay down until you are finished selecting / deselecting.
It would be beneficial if you could make all of your selections / deselections in one go without having to repeatedly click in the menu to make it drop down, then select / deselect.
