A report that can be generated alongside the parent report to send out with statutory data on for individual children.
It would be useful if the report included their results and national averages for that year.20 votes -
Extended Year Groups
Please consider extending the available Year Groups on the Summative and Formative Data Entry screens and reports for use by All-Through and Special schools allowing them to use the system for all their year groups. This would be from Reception to Y14.

Better reports to track progress through Test Scores
The ability to see the progress that children are making between and throughout the year in tests is vital for schools that use this form of assessment.
OTrack's Scores, Pupil and Attainment and Progress, for example, shows an average score for a class or year group and the change in score for each pupil.
Being able to see both Summative Assessment and test score on one report would also be useful.13 votes -

Import test scores
Where schools have test data, such as GL scores, this would be time consuming to add manually to Sonar. It would be far more usable if we could import this from another format such as a spreadsheet.

Targets Summary Report
For schools that set end of year targets above pupils' current summative judgement, it would be useful to have a report showing this.
For example 83% of Year 2 are targeted to achieve ARE by the end of Summer 2 as opposed to just seeing individual targets? This was something that Target Tracker did previously and is helpful in ensuring that targets set on Sonar align with targets identified in school improvement plans.6 votes -
Pupil summary in 'School' tab
Ability to multi-select year groups on the pupil summary box in 'School' tab. For example, schools want to see contextual statistics and attendance % for two year groups at once where they have mixed classes or perhaps a whole Key Stage.

All of the drop down menus stay down until you are finished selecting / deselecting.
It would be beneficial if you could make all of your selections / deselections in one go without having to repeatedly click in the menu to make it drop down, then select / deselect.

Formative Assessment reports
Teachers would like to print reports of formative assessments made each term of the pupils - which objectives they have achieved, etc. using the colours. We used to have a report in Otrack called Depth of Knowledge by Group and Objective Assessment progress

Improve the report export functionality
The export / print options seem very limited when running the reports. On screen they look amazing, but when you download as a PDF they often run across pages with no control to set break points.

EYFS
To be able to print the summative report so that all the areas of learning are along the top columns and the children's names are down the first column. This would allow practitioners to track pupils' GLD more easily.
AT the moment only the first five areas are shown on the PDF7 votesMoved to Under Review.

Select whole class for single pupil overview
To be able to select a whole class at once to send to PDF and print rather than having to go out of the report and back in for each child, this is very time consuming.

Highlight pupil names in reports
The ability to highlight pupils' names to identify them as (for example) PP, EAL, SEN etc.
This provides a quick and clear way to show how these key groups are distributed across attainment and progress tables. It is particularly effective when used without names for governors' reports.
We have this function in Target Tracker where names can be in bold, underlined or in italics.6 votesMoved to Under Review.
