New Summative Assessment is less clear, more time consuming and less intuitive to use than before.
In the new version of the Primary summative data, you are now unable to see the previous term's level. This now makes it much more time consuming for teachers to update and change the assessment levels. Furthermore there is no clear and easy way to print out the summative levels to have in front of teachers whilst they are doing this.
Moving to Sonar has brought many challenges with things being different to Target Tracker, but one of the selling points to staff was that the interface was more intuitive and we only needed to change data points for the children who were either making below expected, or above expected progress. Now they are expected to change the assessment point for every child, in every subject without being able to see what they were graded at in the previous term on the screen. This change/update has made the user interface less intuitive and more difficult to understand. These both result in an increase in workload for teachers.
