  1. We need a way to filter this report to see data for particular classes at a time, as you can with other reports. Schools with a combination of Mainstream and SEND pupils need this for reporting purposes.

  2. Please consider extending the available Year Groups on the Summative and Formative Data Entry screens and reports for use by All-Through and Special schools allowing them to use the system for all their year groups. This would be from Reception to Y14.

  3. Former OTrack customers often ask for a Sonar version of the Attainment and Progress Summary which had 3 subjects and a combined column on one page. This report is a Termly context Group report and for each subject it shows the attainment percentages for Below, At & Above next to the Termly Target (progress) %'s Below, At, Above. The Termly Targets can be changed to Progress from Previous Summer for those who don't use Targets. It is often used for progress meetings and governors.

  5. It will be useful for teachers to print out reports in a readable format not over many many pages. Could be used for Pupil progress meetings. Classroom monitor had the function to export to excel.

  6. Customers have suggested it would be helpful to be able to copy targets from one term to the next.
    If these are entered into the wrong term, currently a school has to manually do them all over again.

  7. It would be useful to be able to have an overall figure for the number of children making expected progress or accelerated progress - as a cumulative function.
    Currently, the Summative Progress Analysis provides the figures but these need to be added up to calculate cumulative.
    The Conversion Matrix has cumulative but only for each starting point, it doesn't show in the KPIs, so again needs manually adding up.

  9. Phonics Phase Tracking is available in OTrack (Under Teacher Assessments) where schools track using programmes such as Read Write Inc or Letters and Sounds (or bespoke) This is a popular feature which would be an asset to Sonar. There are also Phonics Termly Targets available under Targets section to run alongside. Test Scores cannot be used for this purpose as they stages within Phonics Phase are usually a number followed by a letter eg. 2A, 2B, 2C et...

  10. On Target Tracker, you could generate a 'class context' sheet which held the information for each pupil in columns: forename, surname, DoB, date of entry, gender, EAL status, FSM status, SEN status...

    It would be brilliant to be able to generate this same sheet from within Sonar, and to export it as a PDF, Word or Excel file.

  11. School's would like to track the inputting of data for formative assessment on a Monthly rather than Termly basis. It is interesting for SLT to be able to track when children are achieving objectives and sometimes this can change multiple times over a half term.

  12. Ability to track progress of pupils assessed outside of their year group (sig below). For example, if a Y5 pupil is assessed as 3At > 3B this should be interpreted as them having made less than the expected progress. Currently, all progress reports would consider these children as having made expected progress and schools want to be able to track small progress steps of these pupils better.

  13. Where schools have test data, such as GL scores, this would be time consuming to add manually to Sonar. It would be far more usable if we could import this from another format such as a spreadsheet.

  15. Is there was a way to add the = or - numbers that you see on the target analysis report to the summative progress analysis report?

    This would at least show a numerical indicator of progress which would help steps/linear schools?

    So a child working below ARE for Year 4 - they would have +2 as gone from 3JA to 3Above. Better than just saying 'expected progress' when in fact she has improved.

    I guess one big issue would be the code model the school has (number of codes within ARE)

    Pre Entry 0-11 months
    Entry 1 8-20 months
    Entry 2 16-26 months
    Nurs 1 22-36 months
    Nurs 2 30-50 months

    Early Years Leads within our schools think they should be:
    Pre Entry 8-20 months
    Entry 1 16-26 months
    Entry 2 22-36 months
    Nurs 1 30-50 months
    Nurs 2 40-60 months
    Reception ELG

  17. End of Key Stage reports allow schools to see overall numbers and percentages, pupils' names and to view in Summary mode. There is no equivalent report for Phonics or MTC which schools need.
    Although the Analysis tab gives headline data, no detail such as pupils names or context can be seen.

  19. Teachers would like to print reports of formative assessments made each term of the pupils - which objectives they have achieved, etc. using the colours. We used to have a report in Otrack called Depth of Knowledge by Group and Objective Assessment progress

  20. Schools using the Ages Assessment feature would benefit from their Ages data being available within the Single Pupil Overview report as is Summative and Test Scores data. Or the creation of a new Ages Flight Path report where they can see the Ages data over time.
