Pupil Assessment History View
We're a school moving from INSIGHT. One of the things that we find invaluable on INSIGHT is the assessment view of a child, where you can see all the summative assessments of subjects as well as test scores and the % secured to date of formative objectives for each year on one page. It would be great to get this in SONAR as it is a great, easy to glance at history of assessment of pupils throughout the year.

Observations: Assess a pupil using the observation tool
This would enable you to assess a pupil against the learning objective tagged in an observation.

Observations: Tag an observation with a learning objective
This would allow you to select one or more formative objective to specify the learning that is linked with the observation.

Highlight pupil names in reports
The ability to highlight pupils' names to identify them as (for example) PP, EAL, SEN etc.
This provides a quick and clear way to show how these key groups are distributed across attainment and progress tables. It is particularly effective when used without names for governors' reports.
We have this function in Target Tracker where names can be in bold, underlined or in italics.11 votes -
Single Pupil Overview - phonics
The Statutory Data box on the Single Pupil Overview report shows a pupil's phonics score in a green box if they passed. This is the same even if the pupil did the retake in Y2 which can be a little misleading to the overall picture for that pupil. Please could something be altered here (e.g. a different colour, a little number 2 added) so that schools know whether the score they are seeing is from Y1 or Y2.

Toggle between pupils and remove columns in Single Pupil Overview
This report would be more useful if we were able to quickly and easily switch to another pupil without re-setting report. It is time consuming currently.
It would also be useful to be able to remove columns - for example if a school isn't using formative assessment - and to have an indication of progress. This would make it much more useful when sharing with parents.18 votes -
Quadrant
To be able to choose what to regard as 'At'. Schools that use our default code model where Just At and At are treated as At in this report would find it useful to be able to show securely at and above only, either as a comparison or instead of including Just At.
The Venn Report allows the metric to be changed so something similar here would be useful.

Undo function for accidental data entry
When you have flood filled, particularly formative data, if you have made a mistake it would be useful to be able to 'undo' this and put the assessment back to how it was.

Statutory Analysis
End of Key Stage reports allow schools to see overall numbers and percentages, pupils' names and to view in Summary mode. There is no equivalent report for Phonics or MTC which schools need.
Although the Analysis tab gives headline data, no detail such as pupils names or context can be seen.5 votes -
Test Score ARE settings
Schools can set multiple different thresholds for their test scores, so it can correlate more closely with their summative model. For example, if their summative model has 4 or 5 levels it would be good that the test scores and associated report in ARO also splits the test score data into 4 or 5 respectively. At the moment the test scores is just Below, At or Above. e.g. in a test with range 80-120, schools might state that 80-90 is below, 90-103 is just at, 103-109 securely at and 110+ is above.

Contextual information on when a child has joined the school
It would be very helpful to have the date the children started the school added to contextual information,. We have high levels of mobility and so it would be very useful to filter and see which children, in a class or year group, joined. We used to use this on Target Tracker all the time.

Statutory DataDashboard -
Could a filter/toggle be added to the Statutory dashboard to enable us to look at previous years outcomes, and potentially view data from previous years alongside this years etc- to enable us to see (hopefully) progression in outcomes over time.

EYFS Report Improvements
To be able to print the summative report so that all the areas of learning are along the top columns and the children's names are down the first column. This would allow practitioners to track pupils' GLD more easily.
AT the moment only the first five areas are shown on the PDF9 votesMoved to Under Review.

Make is easier to exclude children from reports
When a school has alot of mobility they need an easy way to exclude particular children from a report. Sometimes using entry date works well but for children that leave and come back, this is not useful as the original admission date is recorded in Sonar, rather than the restored date.
In OTRack and TT there is an easy quick way to filter a report and exclude 3/4 pupils (and swap selection is useful here too).12 votesMoved to Under Review.

significantly below -
It would be good to see what a child's attainment is when they are significantly below. At the moment all children working below year group and in the same column and it is not possible to see how significantly below the individual children are.
