  2. Would it be possible to create a single overarching report to support our pupil progress meetings? Ideally, this report would bring together the following key elements:

    Primary Age-Related Overview (with summary)
    Primary VENN
    Primary Age-Related Progress
    Test Scores (including MTC Check and Phonics Screening Check)
    Pupil Flight Path
    I’ve copied and pasted an example into a document to illustrate what I mean. Please let me know if this is feasible or if you'd like to discuss further.

  3. I would love to be able to print off the formative assessment for 1 child. The statements are really helpful when children move between schools or at parent meetings when I need to share explicitly with parents.

  4. Schools would like to be able to be able to change the date of an observation as they don't always get to type up the observations and add photos at the time, or on the same day they see them.

  5. At the moment the Teacher Comments, Headteacher Comments and Pupil Comments sections are included in the report template by default, even if you choose the basic grid version of the template. It would be helpful to have the option to include or exclude these sections when setting up the report template.

  6. When you are adding an objective it currently shows the list of objectives to tag from Pre Entry onwards. Would be so much quicker to either filter by pupil's year group or have manual filter for year, so you don't have to scroll right down to find the Reception ones.

  8. Schools would like to be able to re-order their Formative Subjects to improve usability and consistency for staff. A content Editor like the one OTrack had would be ideal to allow schools to manage their own Formative content.

    Thank you for taking the time to feedback here.


    As part of the Awards & Activities module (currently free as part of your Parent Engagement bundle), you are able to upload more informal observations using the Juniper Education app. As part of this module, those observations can be tagged to a subject if you wish them to be and photos/comments are then sent to parents. Parents can view these observations in the app. The Awards & Activities module leans more towards observing key skills, behaviours and celebrating efforts and success.


    Specifically from Sonar, you can currently use an ipad to make more academic observations by tagging the learning objectives and sending these home to the app for parents.


    We do have some upcoming product demonstrations for the Observations module (Sonar) and Awards & Activities. The first one today is 3:45pm - 4:30pm if you wish to come along to…

  10. A school have asked for the ability to see contextual data within this report. They need to be able to compare PP with Non PP etc As well as other contextual groups.

  12. The current Subject Overview Report lets you see 'previous summer' and any reporting periods in the current years but doesn't allow you to compare e.g. Autumn to Autumn over multiple years - this is pretty essential for test progress tracking of individuals

  13. Add the groups CIN (Children In Need) and LAC (Looked after) to the Primary Age Related Overview tables and the Primary Summative Analysis tables, so data analysis mirrors the new OFSTED framework & IDSR.

  14. The summative assessments page should have a way to download to Excel. Currently - to be able to export any information about children you either need to do it one child at a time throught he single pupil overview (although often the PDF function doesnt work properly and shows 'data loading' on the download), or you have to manually type information from the SONAR tracker web page into another document. This feels like a waste of time and resources.

    Downloading to excel or integrating with Google docs is important to stop teachers and leaders wasting their time.

  15. EYFS Age Related Overview Report - Ability to see % on track for all aspects in each Area
    Currently by choosing all aspects in Communications Language;
    Listening, Attention and Understanding along with Speaking and selecting combined, we can see the % of pupils on track in all aspects within the Area.
    As EYFS leads often wish to report the % on track in each Area it would be great if this report (or one similar to the GLD report - with all aspects in) showed this either as an extra row / column or had the option to view.

  17. Sometimes, having SONAR open isn't practical in class. Our staff would like a PDF version of the objectives so that they can see them on paper and add notes to aid their observations and thoughts - this will allow them to use the statements more practically and make things speedier moving forwards.

  19. Currently this just says 'Group' so teachers have to add this to the report, remembering what group was filtered for. Would be more useful if names of group was referenced.

  20. I would like the option to filter by tagged objectives and be able to look exclusively at the Early Learning Goals. It is a right rigamarole in having to look up every observation to see if an early learning goal has been met, by who, when ect and then have to try and keep track of this.
