Accessibility: Scroll bar to be added for styled tables
Some websites lack the necessary code to include a scroll bar on styled tables, resulting in visitors being unable to scroll across tables with multiple columns.
This often leads to client queries about why they can't view all content within wider tables. We are then having to manually add the code to address such issues which is inefficient.
Therefore, I feel that it would be beneficial to incorporate this functionality by default in all website templates. This ensures accessibility and enables visitors to view the entirety of content within styled tables.
Here is an article that relates to this for…

Parents Evening Booking: 'BOOK THIS SLOT' text
Schools have mentioned that when parents log in and navigate to this section to book slots, currently the text 'BOOK THIS SLOT' is only visible upon hovering the cursor over it, which is feasible only on desktops.
However, the majority of parents access the website using mobile devices, where hovering is not possible due to the absence of a cursor. Consequently, they are unable to see this important wording.
It would be beneficial to ensure that the text is always visible on both desktop and mobile interfaces for accessibility reasons.

Automatically saving as a draft when logged out for inactivity
When editing an item, such as a page, blog post, or article, after a certain amount of time, the user will be signed out due to inactivity. This is a security feature designed to prevent unauthorised access to pages if a user leaves their device unattended while logged into the website.
However, currently, when a user is signed out of a page, there is no message confirming the action. This absence of notification can lead users to believe they are still logged in, as they can still see the admin bar including the 'LOGOUT' link (top right). Consequently, they may…

Parents Evening Booking: reserved vs booked
When a parent reserves their slot, sometimes there is a confusion between when a slot has been 'reserved' and 'booked', as some parents think that when a slot has been reserved that this is the same as it being booked.
To prevent any confusion it would be useful to include the following to the "reserved for 10 mins" notice:
"In order to confirm your booking please press the 'Save' button."
If a parent does not click the 'save' button then another parent can take that slot.

Have a 'Browse Server' option within iFrames
Having this option will allow you to quickly embed a PDF document into a page, instead of having to use the Link icon on the EDIT menu to first find the relevant hyperlink and then have to go onto iFrames to add it into URL bar.

As part of adding Google Analytics to a school the support team have to add this for a school via the backend. I would like this to be possible via the CMS and ideally possible for an end user to do so.

Data driven newsletter sections
Provide functionality that allows you to build segmented newsletters. So, you write one newsletter containing information for each year group, you tag the information (either with Year group, Key Stage, Whole School for example) and then it automatically sends the relevant segment in the newsletter to parents depending on the data tag.

Find and replace images and text
Schools would like to be able to find images and or text across their site and remove or replace the content.
This would also be helpful for MATs across all their schools too.Examples:
School - image of a child is used that need to be removed, the CMS can currently remove the images completely but it does not offer a replace function.
MATs - a school name may change - they may want to find every place the school name is presented and replace with the new name.5 votes
