Add year of entry to Basic Filters
As a Sonar UserI want to filter pupils by the year group in which they joined the schoolSo that I can identify 'home grown' pupils and compare with those who joined the school later
This function was included in Basic Filters previously but dropped after investigation as OTrack (so Sonar) has terms stored against each assessment type independently. Making a standard view impossible if a school has different periods setup for different assessment types.https://dev.azure.com/juniper-education/Tracker/_workitems/edit/6478This is still a valuable and popular feature in TT, and an often requested one in OTrack (to the extent that customer support recently created a video on how to manually create these groups)
There are a few approaches we could take:
- Only offer the filter if all assessment types have consistent matching periods
- Link the filter to a specified assessment type (e.g. Primary Summative)
- Reduce the functionality to offer Before/After Beginning/End of each academic year
After discussion the last of these is acceptable with the existing date selection option offering replacement functionality for any user (likely in Early Years only where entry is throughout the year) with more specific mid year filter requirements.
