1. Juniper Education App - PDF Should Open in Default Viewer Instead of Prompting to Save

   When a PDF document is uploaded via News or through an In-App Message the recipient is prompted to save the file to their mobile device. Users typically will not want to save files to their device and would instead prefer to open the PDF in a viewer (e.g. Web Browser or other PDF Reader) and then close out the file after reading it. Prompting to save adds extra steps and will reduce the number of users that interact and read communications send out as attachments.

2. Calendar to show monthly rather than weekly on mobile app

   Calendar to show monthly rather than weekly on mobile app. The calendar is too complicated, it doesn't need to show separate times. The parents only need to see the month at a glance and to click on the date to see what is happening.

3. Easier way to see which parents have signed up

   Please can you make it easier to see which parents have signed up to the parent app? Currently, you have to click on each child to see if they have signed up - it is a time consuming process when their are 300+ children in a school. MarvellousMe had an easy way of checking. Thank you.

4. As a parent, I would really like to have a way to reach my child if needed

   I've had an idea for quite some time that I wanted to share, but I hadn’t fully thought it through until now.

   My daughter is in 3rd grade, and as a parent, what I really miss is having a way to stay connected with her during the day.
   Let me try to explain briefly...

   She’s at school every day from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and at 1 p.m. I bring her lunch—just like many other parents—because she’s quite picky, and the food there isn’t great.

   However, there are a few days in the year when something comes up and I either can’t make it on time or can’t make it at all.
   In those moments, it’s very important to let her know, because otherwise she’ll be waiting at the school entrance for 30 minutes and won’t have lunch.

   But this is really difficult because:

   My daughter is young and doesn’t have a phone—nor does she need one at school 😉
   I often don’t know which teacher is with her at the time, and/or I don’t have their phone number
   There’s security, and no one else can call her out
   And so on...
   

   What I wish I could do is just type a short message in an app on my phone and have it delivered to her—
   like a “sticky note” in the student list that teachers can see.
   They could then mark it as “read,” and I’d know everything is okay.

   The lunch example is the simplest one, but there are also times when she hasn’t felt well in the morning before school, and I just want someone to check in and ask her how she’s doing.

   As a parent, I would really like to have a way to reach my child if needed, because she spends 8–9 hours a day at school and I currently have no way to contact her.

7. Automate verification of app if a parent changes their mobile number

   Currently if a parent changes their telephone number we have to remember to reactivate their new telephone number once it has updated in Sims. Has any consideration been made to automating this please as it is reliant on us remembering to do something a few days after we have been notified.
