  1. What is it?

"School have recently moved from Target Tracker to Sonar Tracker. They assessed against the NAHT KPIs in Target Tracker (formative assessment) and had the option to filter for these objectives in TT. They would like to be able to do the same in Sonar.

Many TT schools use objective filters in some way; KPIs, Y2 and 6 TAFs, statement groups so will appreciate being able to filter objectives in same/similar way in Sonar."

  2. Link to school improvement programme Pixl for MATs using it for assessments from Year 1.
For those having used it for years they are able to adjust all their boundaries tracking the progress of a student over many years every autumn, spring and summer.

  3. Schools using Oxford Reading Tree or Read/Write/Inc track which book band a child is on through a coloured chart. Many like to keep a record of this and report to parents. The ability to be able to collect this data would be a nice to have feature.

  5. What is it?

Allowing schools to update Pupil fields manually if connected to sync such as G&T children

International schools would benefit from this as it was available in Classroom Monitor

  6. As a TeacherI want an intuitive way of creating a group from any cell listing names in the reportSo that I can use the pupils for further analysis elsewhere in the Tracker

Reports often contain values that represent specific pupils. Those values will usually include the function to display those pupil names. These values/lists should be selectable with the option to save those pupils as a group. Ideally with the additional option to amend the group before saving i.e remove pupils or add pupils not in the original selectionPossibly an option to Add to Existing Group as well as a…

  11. It would be useful to have a legend on reports we send to parents, or even governors, to explain what the report is showing - for example what 'Just At' means. We had this is Target Tracker and it was very helpful.

  13. For Formative data, this is useful to have recorded for individual pupils as reference.

For Summative and Targets, it would be helpful to have a record of against each child without additional data as in the Targets Report or arranged in order of attainment as in the reports

  15. In OTrack customers have the ability to upload Targets from Fischer Family Trust (.tsv) and then use OTrack reports to compare teacher assessment outcomes against FFT estimates. This is a popular feature in OT which I'm sure would enhance Sonar too. OT has an FFT Benchmark settings tool which enables a relationship between the schools Summative Teacher Assessment codes and the FFT Benchmark codes

  18. When entering summative data, the tabs for 'on track' and 'at risk / working towards' are both green, and are both then combined into one 'on track' judgement. This does not help when trying to distinguish between these two groups of children. On the previous version of Sonar, these tabs were a different colour.
