Automatically share content to social media on publish date
Currently, users have the option to set publish dates for items such as pages, articles, and blog posts that are in draft, ensuring they are automatically published on the selected date.
Additionally, users can use the 'Share' option under the EDIT menu to share these items to social media, with the option to 'Confirm external post' when saving the page.
I propose enhancing this functionality in two key ways.
First, the 'Share' option should be expanded to allow users to share content simultaneously across multiple social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok.
Users should have the ability to select which platforms to post on and edit the content of the post for each platform.
Second, to improve parental engagement, it would be beneficial if users could schedule content to be shared automatically on social media platforms at the same time as it is published on their website.
Users should have the option to tick a box confirming that the external posts can be published on the selected publish date.
This way, the pre-configured social media posts, which users have customised in the 'Share' option, will be automatically shared to each selected platform on the designated date.
These enhancements will simplify the process of managing and scheduling social media content, allowing users to effectively coordinate their online presence.
