Integration with school MIS for live student data updates using e.g. Wonde
Allowing live update of student classes and other key filter groups to give a more accurate assessment picture for teachers. Very real benefit for admins, as this area in particular takes a few minutes to download from MIS, manipulate via Excel Add In, and then import to Sisra. Over a year and 5-7 cohorts this would represent a significant time saving, and keep Sisra Analytics in line with competitors.

Massive time saver for staff. Unsure (other than a assumed fee to Wonde and dev costs) why this would not be in place.

Hi everyone. We are working on a project which is adjacent to this. It won't be Wonde sync or similar (although we may move towards this in the future), as we believe data managers need more control over the data that is added to Sisra Analytics, but we are working on a way to simplify student and grade data uploads into the service. This work will be split into two phases:
Phase 1 - Remove the requirement to use the Excel Add-in for all data. This will mean that student data or broadsheets can be exported from an MIS and imported/uploaded directly into Sisra Analytics, without having to format files via the Add-in.
Phase 2 - Improve filter population to remove Excel-based amendments to student data. This will mean that schools who currently have to edit student data in Excel (for example, merging together class names and teacher initials, or creating attendance groups) will be able to set these things up as automatic processes within the system. Think advance filter aliases, which will take the data that comes from the MIS and convert in into something more useful in the reports. We'll publish more information about this as it becomes available.

This would be a great step forward. I agree that we would need the facility to lock certain data items for Y11 and Y13 to agree with Jan Census and DfE performance tables.

I agree this would be useful but would need to have a way of retaining the correct student data in Y11 and Y13 as stated in your Spring census, as this is the information the DfE uses for its analysis of these cohorts. It would be invalid if it was to update and I was providing incorrect information to my headteacher.

This would save so much time and ensure that cohort information is always up to date and accurate. Other data management systems update overnight from the MIS.

This will definitely be helpful, students are always changing classes and downloading the spreadsheet from MIS takes long.

100% agree with this, as nearly all other systems we use utilise this feature.
Getting a consensus on the fields that could be imported, such as teacher name, attendance etc. would be helpful, but any work taken on this would be a step in the right direction.

but with ability to edit and lock certain fields: like to nominate some students as non -disadvantaged even in in MIS they are are disadvantaged (so those who are no longer PP/ FSM6 on 1st April can be counted as such sooner)
