  1. Currently, adding a subscribe button to a calendar requires manual input by the support team, as it's done directly within the code. Since this is provided free of charge (FOC), it might be more efficient to give users the ability to enable this option themselves.

A possible solution could be adding a toggle under the 'EDIT' menu for calendars, allowing users to activate the subscribe button easily.

To implement this, the following code would need to be added to the page.setup.asp folder:

    Mason.Site.setConf "calendar_ics", True

  2. It would be beneficial for users to have the ability to customise their Calendar page.

Offering the option to add a content area or a text box above and below the calendar would help them tailor the page to their needs.

  3. It would be useful if administrators had the ability to delete calendar categories, similar to superusers.

Currently, only superusers can delete categories, even though administrators can see the delete option.

Allowing administrators to delete categories that do not contain any events would save them from having to contact support for help.

Additionally, when a superuser tries to delete a category that has events, a notification pops up saying the category cannot be removed.

It would be helpful if within this notification it allowed both superusers and administrators to see which events are in the category and move them to another…

  5. It would be useful if users were able to embed a website calendar into the content area of a page and if this option was available under EDIT > Components > Website content.

  6. When a calendar is on month view (or any view) can we add a feature whereby the calendar view starts on the present day so users do not need to scroll all the way to the current day when viewing events. This will enable site visitors to see relevant events only showing from the present day onwards.

  7. Be able to cropthe time of the day and week view of the calendar as a setting so that useless times aren't shown (e.g. just within school hours rather than midnight-midnight). However, if events happen to be put outside this crop, they are still shown (crop one-off adjusted to show) rather than not displaying.

  8. It would greatly improve user experience if events synchronized from external calendars were secured to prevent editing within the website calendar. Editing such events on the website can lead to inconsistencies and issues, and ideally, they should be managed centrally within their respective external calendars.

Additionally, it would be useful if synchronised events were clearly distinguished from manually added ones in the calendar. For instance, when logged into the website synced events could be marked with a padlock icon when viewed on the website calendar, so that users are able to identify how certain events have been added.

    This would…

  9. We would like an option to display all important events across the academic year, not just by month.

    Example: https://www.lau.edu.lb/calendar/

  11. School have requested that when an item is added onto the school calendar for example school holidays, if one event could show rather than an event for every day to make the list view smaller to allow parents to print this page from the website.

  12. With the exchange calendar sync we had file attachments showing on the website. Now we've upgraded to Office 365 mailboxes the 365 sync method does not pull attachments through to the website. This is really missed as we attach PDF letters to trips and events and they are now not showing.
